Reading Liberia

At Dominic Hena School in Kakata, Margibi County, students are encouraged to read in the library. This helped students develop the habit of reading in addition to and teachers' support through their teaching practices. For instance, teachers intentionally stopped reading a story to the class at an interesting point and invited students to complete the book in the library during the school recess. This school also had 98% of the GALI girls promoted to the next class at the end of the first semester. RL 20/20 provided the books for this school library that is benefitting 455 students from grade 1 - 6.
